Food establishments

Prior to beginning operations or any essential changes, a food establishment must be approved by the appropriate control authority. An in-House Control plan must be attached to the application. A decision is made concerning the application, and it can provide regulations and conditions needed to prevent health hazards.

Interruptions in operations, termination of operations or a change of operator at an approved food establishment must be reported to the authority that issued the approval decision at least 14 days in advance.
