Occupational therapy for adults

The occupational therapist assesses the functional capacity of adult clients and their possibilities to live independently in their own environment. Based on the results, the occupational therapist and client set targets for a possible therapy period.
You need a doctorīs referral for occupational therapy. No referral is required for assessing the need for assistive devices and home renovation or counselling. A doctorīs referral is needed for the assessment, design and production of cervical spine and upper extremity orthothics.

Occupational therapy for children and young people


Occupational therapy for children and young people at Salo health centre includes counselling for children and families, support for parents as they deal with developmental problems in children and young people, and work done in the immediate network. If necessary, an occupational therapist can assess a childīs development level using various tests and by observing his/her activity.
