The aim of physical and rehabilitation medicine is the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of functional disorders caused by illness and injury. This takes place in co-operation with physical and occupational therapists and other rehabilitation staff, taking into consideration the patient´s overall life situation. You can make an appointment with the physical and rehabilitation specialist working at the rehabilitation unit in the health centre if you have a referral from your personal doctor or the doctors at Salo Regional Hospital.
