Rooms and Facilities

The main library offers its customers the following facilities:

- two reading rooms for ten people
- three study rooms for research and studying
- a meeting room for working in groups and for small group meetings
- Laurinsali, a conference room for meetings and for organizing various events

In addition, there are microfilm machines in the main library for customers´ use. You can find church record books from the Salo region, as well as nearly every issue ever published of the local newspaper (Salon seudun sanomat) in the library collection on microfilm. Microfiche viewing machines are also available for customer use.

In the main library, there are 19 computers with an Internet connection and basic software for customer use. There are also computers meant for longer use (11 computers) in the Mikrotupa, which can be reserved beforehand. In order to reserve a computer, you will need a PIN code, which you can get from the library staff, to be used in connection with your library card number.
