Activities and nature services in Salo

Salo offers plenty of diverse activities all year round. Many people consider taking a lazy holiday, but actually end up testing their limits or otherwise being active outdoors no matter what the weather is like.

Autumn is the time to admire the colours of the leaves, winter provides a great opportunity to go sledding or gaze at the star-studded sky, while spring brings the first golfers to the courses in Finland. The options in summer are nearly unlimited!

A recreational activity centre - Meri-Teijo - is located right by the sea in the old ironworks area of Perniö. A salty wind from the Archipelago Sea also blows in Särkisalo, enchanting visitors with its countless islands and famous pike-fishing grounds.

The three international-length golf courses in Salo are among the first in Finland to open each spring. Try them all and choose your favourite: Meri-Teijo Golf, Salo Golf or Wiurila Golf in Halikko.
