Shop in Salo

Salo is known as a historic trading site, which has become an internationally recognised and interesting growth centre. Markets have been held here since medieval times, for example, on Rikalanmäki in Halikko, where many ancient relics have been found. The first traders began doing business in Salo in the early 1800s. At that time, seafarers and road travellers probably met at the site of the present Salo Marketplace. Today, some people call it the best in Finland - and with good reason. The marketplace is full of bright flowers from spring until autumn and its cafés serve the best of local products.

Salo has several shopping centres and dozens of smaller boutiques. It´s no wonder that the Salo Region´s reputation as an excellent and reasonably priced place to shop has spread outside the economic area.
